Crab Cake BLT

The ultimate sandwich!

Ingredients:

  • 4 Handy crab cakes (3 oz. each)
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 4 hamburger buns or sandwich rolls
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 tomato slices
  • Optional: Mayonnaise
  • Optional: Dill pickle slices or other condiments of your choice
  • Gather ingredients and utensils (skillet, paper towels, knife)

  • Pick over crab cakes to check for shells (if needed)

  • Prep other components: slice buns, wash lettuce and tomato

  • Cook bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook 8 slices until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

  • Cook crab cakes: In the same skillet or a second pan, cook Handy crab cakes following package directions until golden brown and heated through.

  • Toast buns: Lightly toast hamburger buns or rolls while crab cakes are cooking.

  • Assemble sandwiches:

    • Spread mayonnaise (if using) on bottom bun.

    • Layer with a lettuce leaf and tomato slice.

    • Add one crab cake.

    • Top with two slices of crispy bacon.

    • Add dill pickles or other condiments if desired.

    • Crown with top bun.

  • Serve immediately.
