Soft Shell Crab Tacos

These Soft Crab Tacos feature crispy panko-breaded crab paired with fresh cabbage, creamy avocado, and zesty pico de gallo. Perfect for a quick, flavorful meal with a coastal twist.

  • For the Pico de Gallo:
    • 2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
    • 1/2 red onion, finely diced
    • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely diced (optional, for a spicy kick)
    • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
    • 1 tablespoon lime juice
    • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Tacos:
    • 8-10 small flour tortillas (6-inch diameter)
    • 8-10 Handy Seafood Panko Breaded Soft Shell Crab Portions (cooked according to package instructions)
    • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
    • Cilantro sprigs, for garnish
    • Toppings of your choice (optional): crumbled cotija cheese, sour cream, hot sauce
  1. Shred the cabbage.

  2. Slice avocado.

  3. Prepare pico de gallo if not using pre-made.

  4. Have tortillas, lime wedges, and optional garnishes ready.

  • Cook the Handy Panko Breaded Soft Crabs according to the package instructions.

  • Warm the flour tortillas over an open flame or in a dry skillet until pliable.

  • Assemble tacos: Place 1–2 cooked soft crab portions on each tortilla, top with cabbage, pico de gallo, and avocado slices.

  • Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top and add optional sour cream or cilantro.

  • Serve immediately.
