Ingredients

  • 8 ounces (225 grams) spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 Package of Handy OLD BAY® Breaded Shrimp
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped (OPTIONAL)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. Cook the Handy OLD BAY® Breaded Shrimp according to the directions on the package. Set shrimp aside.

  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet, leaving the bacon fat in the pan.

  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the bacon fat and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

  5. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, and grated Pecorino Romano cheese until well combined.

  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the garlic and bacon fat. Stir well to coat the pasta with the flavors.

  7. Remove the skillet from the heat. Slowly pour the egg and cheese mixture over the pasta while continuously stirring to prevent the eggs from scrambling. The heat from the pasta will cook the eggs and create a creamy sauce. If the sauce seems too thick, you can add a small amount of pasta water to thin it out.

  8. Add the cooked shrimp and crispy bacon to the skillet. Stir to combine and coat the shrimp and bacon with the sauce. Season to taste.

  9. Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the top.

  10. Serve immediately while it's still warm. Garnish with additional grated Parmesan cheese if desired and enjoy!
