Sheet Pan Crab Dip Fries

Ingredients

For the Fries:

  • 2 (32 oz) bags frozen fries (shoestring, steak-cut, or crinkle)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt, to taste

For the Creamy Crab Dip (double batch):

  • 2 cups Handy Seafood Crab Meat Combo (claw, lump, special, jumbo lump mix)

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Optional: chopped fresh chives or parsley for garnish

Prep Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C) for the fries.

  2. Spread frozen fries on a sheet pan, drizzle with olive oil, and toss to coat. Set aside.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, and heavy whipping cream. Whisk until smooth.

  4. Stir in Dijon mustard, Old Bay, garlic powder, onion powder, and lemon juice.

  5. Gently fold in 2 cups of Handy Seafood Crab Meat Combo, keeping larger lumps intact.

  6. Preheat a second oven rack or pan to 350°F (175°C) for baking the crab dip later.

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Bake the fries at 425°F (218°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

  2. While fries bake, reduce oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).

  3. Spread the crab dip evenly over a second sheet pan. Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese on top.

  4. Bake crab dip for 10–12 minutes, until warmed through and cheese is melted (broil 1–2 minutes for golden top if desired).

  5. Once fries are done, pour the hot crab dip directly over the fries on the sheet pan.

  6. Garnish with fresh chives or parsley and serve immediately.
